The Era of Recovery

The Era of Recovery came as a surprise to everyone. For hundreds of years, the ancients had been missing. The world void of the clerical powers that each ancient channeled into Yendra and into their followers was suddenly filled with those magics again, though weaker than they had been prior to the Emptiness.

For the people of Yendra prosperity came. With the Ancients there again and with ever so slight direction coming from the ancients to their followers, the people slowly began to solidify the tenuous alliances that began to form in the third era. Alliances, though tenuous between some, were strengthened. Elves kept many non-elvish out of the inner sanctum of their woods, and out of Silna itself, however many are now permitted to travel within the outer rings of the woods. Dwarves quickly opened up and made their elegant and intricate blacksmithing works available to all with trade. The cities, towns and lands of the Era of Recovery have finally began to feel safe and structured. Stronger armies to protect the people began to emerge from the larger governments. These would arise to become the Nemiran Army, The Shieldwalls of Kor, and The Blades of Silna. Smaller militias may exist, and places like Mesna within the Mensa Archipelago, developed their own minor forms of protection. The rest of the Created Races created their own havens and places of respite through the third era. Scattered about are other small villages and towns created by these races, many of which would become melting pots of cultures and races.

Currently, the borders are secured, peace is at hand, and world trade is strong. Trade routes are finalized and the world is at peace. Though there are disagreements among the capitals here and there, for the most part things are resolved through diplomacy and discussion. However, peace can never last forever, as there are always those who want more from the world than they are given.

On the other side of the shroud between Centorium and Yendra however, there are events unfolding. during the last fifty years, the shroud has began to thin and extremely weak, amnesia induced Carved have begun falling through. The first of these Carved had actually fallen directly into the Archmage’s chambers. This quickly caused an investigation into where these Carved are coming from. This event will become known as The Thinning.
