The Eras of Yendra

In the beginning of Yendra, the creations of gods, the Dwarves, the Elves and the Humans, lived within the lands of Yendra, where much of the world was unoccupied or very dangerous. During this First Era, with the Dwarves mostly in Kelnon creating their fortress of Kor, the Elves deep in the Shaelwood creating the citadel that would become Silna, and the Humans in Nemir with their coastal bastion Ventorma, much of the rest of the world is void of intelligent life as the creations of the gods ran rampant.

The Second Era which lasted 1303 years, dubbed the destruction era, was a time of absolute chaos. As the era began, the celestials rained down from the heavens and intercepted an ongoing conflict between the demons and devils. This however, due to the actions of Calcifer and the Betrayers, who come to be known as the Betrayer Four, was not the ambush the celestials had hoped for.

The Third Era, The Emptiness was a very strange time for the lands of Yendra. The Emptiness was a time of 507 years, during which the gods and any magic powers that were being passively channeled into Yendra through the gods, were suddenly gone. Though Arcane powers that were given from the arcane flow still stood, they flowed much more freely and wildly, as they weren’t being managed and controlled by Faetran the Arcanist.

The Fourth and current era, The Era of Recovery, came as a surprise to everyone. For hundreds of years, the ancients had been missing. The world void of the clerical powers that each ancient channeled into Yendra and into their followers was suddenly filled with those magics again, though weaker than they had been prior to the Emptiness.
